Thank you for shopping with Affordable Living Aid. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains how returns and refunds are handled on our website and in accordance with Australian consumer law.
1. Change of Mind Returns
If you change your mind about a purchase, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery, provided:
- The item is unused, in original condition and in its original packaging
- You provide proof of purchase (such as order number or receipt)
Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds for change of mind returns will be issued after we receive and inspect the returned item. We may deduct any delivery charges if they were incurred, and refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
2. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
We stand behind the quality of the products we sell. If you receive an item that is:
- Damaged during delivery
- Incorrect
- Or faulty
Please contact us immediately at affordableliving@ausz.com.au or 1300 281 777 with your order details and photos of the issue. We will arrange for:
- A replacement of the same item; or
- A full refund (including return shipping costs), if a replacement is not available.
In these cases, we may provide a prepaid return shipping label.
3. How to Return an Item
To start a return:
- Contact our support team by email or phone with your order number.
- Pack the item safely in its original packaging.
- Ship the item back to our return address (details will be provided by our team).
- Once received and inspected, we’ll notify you about your refund status.
4. Refund Processing Time
After we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days. The refunded amount will be sent to the original payment method used at purchase.
5. Australian Consumer Law Rights
Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you have guaranteed rights when purchasing goods. If a product is not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or does not match the description, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of any change-of-mind policy. These rights are separate from our standard return policy.
6. Exceptions
Some products may not be eligible for return if they:
- Are personalised or custom-made
- Are sealed health or hygiene items that have been opened after delivery
